Orionled lamp 14 Watt lamps

The E27 OrionLED 14W with its output of 1400 Lumen is in principle designed as a replacement for 100W incandescent lamps which makes an 85% energy saving possible! In combination with its 0.925+ power factor, one can judge this OrionLED 14W bulb as highly energy efficient.

VLU ORIONLED 14W: IP65 OR IP54

A unit consisting of a VLU Fixture & Lamp & Lamp-screw-on-Cover Short that meets IP65 criteria in any position
A unit consisting of a VLU Fixture & Lamp& special cover ring & special sealing ring but without cover that meets IP54 criteria when hanging vertically

The IP65 versions can be washed and cleaned with a pressure washer, the IP54 can be washed with water but not with a pressure washer. The IP54 version will give about 10% more light intensity due to the absence of the extra cover than the IP65 version but there is less protection of the lamp.

Meeting or even exceeding IP65 criteria is becoming the standard as being able to clean and disinfect all equipment has become common practice in commercial poultry production.

Using OrionLED Lamps: IP65 or IP54 Waterproof
The OrionED bulbs can be integrated into two different styles of Complete Light Units that meet either the IP65 or the IP54 criteria. Today with an increased pressure from society to minimize the use of antibotics in animal houses, it is important to take as many preventive steps as possible. The ability to wash the light units is a factor to improve the biosecurity of the animal house, the cleaner the better.

LP062 - Lamp screw on cover short The cobinaton of VLU Fixture & LED Lamp & Lamp-screw-on-Cover Short (LP062) meets the IP65 criteria in any position. This enables washing with a high pressure washer with some produce.
LP056 + LP032 - Special cover ring + sealing ring The combination of VLU Fixture + LED lamp + special cover ring (LP056) + sealing ring (PL032) meets IP54 criteria as long as the lamp is installed hanging vertically. This enables washing with water.

The IP54 version will give about 10% more light intensity due to the absence of the extra cover.

LP360 OrionLED dimmer

With the OrionLED 14W lamp comes the OrionLED Light Intensity Controller unit that can handle up to 200 OrionLED 14W lamps from 2% to 100% with a 220-230V/50-60Hz power supply This dimmer has a build in watchdog program to check both the incoming power and the outgoing power to the lamps. In situations that this watchdog detects problems, it will disconnect the power supply to the lamps.

E27 Fixtures

LP040 -The VLU-3 positions fixture can be used for 3 different angles to keep the LED bulb vertically aiming at the floor to keep an uniform light distribution. Specially designed for mounting on angled sealings or walls or hanging on a steel cable or steel tube.

LP041 - The VLU Cable fixture is mainly used hanging on (height adjustable) tubes or cables. Making it easy to install using only tie wraps.

LP047 – The VLU HIP fixture is designed for hanging on its own power cable, with one cable entry on the backside of the VLU. Making it well suitable for usage over corridors where one doesn’t want a horizontal connection between light units for birds to sit on.

In practice it is relatively easy to install Gasolec OrionLED 14W Lamps in existing Gasolec VLU (Vertical Light Units) Light installations with CFL Compact Fluorescent Lamps by replacing the dimmer and the lamps without changing fixtures and electric wiring.

By adding new lamp-screw-on-covers-short one can come to an IP65 level installation. Otherwise it is possible to achieve the IP54 level by incorporating the proper sealing rings. Please discuss such a plan with your dealer or with Gasolec for proper guidance.
